Mondak Dance Gets the Hook
Undersheriff Charles Council and Deputy John Iwen raided the Mondak dance hall at Fort Union Sunday morning, seizing bottled goods and arresting proprietor John Jensen. He pled guilty to a Sunday dance law violation, was fined 25 dollars, and faced federal liquor charges with bail set at 500 dollars. The raid found a room packed with men and girls, many 14 to 16, clearly intoxicated, with many from Williston. Deputy Council will push to close the joint with federal authorities.
