Ferry Tragedy Claims Gila Anderson in Missouri River

A drowning accident on a Missouri River ferry killed 21 year old Gila Anderson as she tried to escape a sinking car carrying her and her four year old brother Buddy Vig. Buddy was rescued after minutes in water and is expected to recover. Divers recovered Gila's body near the accident site, as her family waits for Mr Vig to arrive from North Dakota for funeral arrangements.

District Convention Club Women Here For Federated Event

A Civic League meeting outlined plans to host the Fifth District Convention of Federated Clubs on November 12 and 13. About 75 to 100 delegates are expected from out of town, with prominent speakers including Mrs. J F Kilduff and Mrs. Bosout. The program begins with registration Friday afternoon, a banquet at the Sherman, and a reception in the Palm Room. Saturday features open programs for all city women, with many speakers anticipated. Delegates named include Mesdames Tyson Cook Rae Cogswell Marshall Robert Millson Hauge B Delia Dahl Josselyn Gits Nason Welst Rogers. Alternates are Mrs Amandus Johnson Dillard and Miss Keckler. Mrs Bruner serves as delegate by virtue of her Civic League presidency.

Wolf Point Freshmen Visit Medicine Lake For Saturday Game

The Wolf Point Freshman football team travels to Medicine Lake on Saturday to face the local high school squad as part of interclass play and to prep for next year.
