At a McCone county convention in Vida the McCone county Farmers Union organized the Holiday association with Clarence Chamberlain as chairman and Clive Bixby as secretary. The group calls all farmers and businessmen to a mass meeting in Vida on Wednesday October 19 at 1 00 o'clock to discuss declaring a farm strike. Apple Train Wreck Delays Shipment Near Wolf Point
A boxcar wreck near Lohmiller six miles west of Wolf Point halted a Washington apple train bound for Atlantic coast markets. Salvage operations took seven hours to clear the track and another seven hours to remove debris. Four cars were saved and sent to Minneapolis while locals and Indians helped themselves to scattered fruit, leaving scarcely any apples on the ground the next day.

Montana newspaper veteran William Bole dies at 74
William McClure Bole 74, longtime Montana newspaper man and part owner of the Great Falls Tribune, died at his Bozeman home Tuesday. He retired as editor in 1927 after a long career beginning with an apprenticeship at 16, later acquiring interests from St Johnsbury to St Paul, and helping run the Great Falls Tribune with S. Warden. Funeral held in Bozeman. He was listed in the 1932 Who's Who.
