A nurse from Three Forks arrives in Wolf Point under the Anti-Tuberculosis Society after a Christmas Seals sale of 511.18 dollars. Mrs. Butler will conduct baby clinics and child examinations through October while visiting rural districts and Wolf Point city schools.

Bill Hart Stricken Delirious With Typhoid

William S. Hart a motion picture actor is reported critically ill at his home. Physicians who attended him held a late night consultation. Hart is suffering from typhoid fever with complications. He became ill days ago with a severe cold and grew delirious Friday and Saturday. His sister Mary Hart remains at his bedside. Hart had separated from his wife Winifred Westover months ago with a property settlement including provisions for their newborn son.

Potatoes Being Hauled To Wolf Point For Winter Supply

Potatoes are being hauled to Wolf Point this fall with residents helping supply the farmer’s market. The spuds arrive by the wagon load and sell for 40 to 50 cents per bushel. Most are good quality standard varieties. E. B. Styer of Sand Creek and L. Carl Jelly are confined to home, A. Styer of Vida were pleasant callers at the Herald office on Monday.

Pleasant Evening for Civic League

The Civic League of Wolf Point met at the Erickson hotel for a joint business and social gathering. Department heads reported on last year’s work to be published later while whist was spread across seven tables. The Athletic department plans an Oct. 18 meeting at the schoolhouse.

United States Senator Thomas J. Walsh will give an address at Stennes Hall on the evening of October 23. The visit supports the campaign of B. K. Wheeler for U S Senator from this district. The Methodist Ladies Aid gathered Tuesday evening at Mrs Fanning's home with many church members in attendance. New officers announced include A W Kellogg as president H B Clement as vice president W F Hall as secretary and L W Fanning as treasurer. Plans were set for the coming year's work and a luncheon was served.
