The Clean House ticket swept Roosevelt county in 1922 with Wolf Point carrying the county seat by a 191 vote margin. Wolf Point led 2003 to 1812 at Poplar in the decisive result, with one precinct missing and unofficial totals published ahead of a full official canvas.
A morning fire at Oswego started in the Hanley livery barn and spread to a block of eight business buildings, destroying Hanley Livery Barn Peterson's Meat Market Crystal Cafe First National Bank Oswego Merch. Co. Wallis and Krall First State Bank Walls Hardware Store Elite Pool Hall Daniel Knapp's warehouse and A P Siemens farm grain. Siemons suffered burns while aiding horses. the town formed a relief effort as insurance covered about half the loss and local banks reopened with rapid reconstruction plans.
