Theodore Gardner, 37, arrested by Nichol and Mitchell on a disturbing the peace charge after a poolroom incident in Oxford. Spur to Bridge Site Opens in Missouri River Crossing
Preliminary work for the federal bridge across the Missouri River at the Macon crossing is underway. The Great Northern holds rails and ties while Missouri Valley Bridge and Iron Co. builds a spur from the main line about a miles west of the Macon Elevator to the site. 600 cars of material, including 1200 tons of steel, are to be shipped. Gravel comes from Chinook. Foreman says about 175 men will be employed as the project aims to be ready by July 4, 1980.

Paramount wartime epic Wings praised by War Department
The War Department lauded Paramount for its air war epic Wings to be shown at the Liberty theater Thursday through Saturday.
