Schoolhouse Burglar Sentenced to One Year

Silk Stockings Trial: 60 Days For Bad Check

A historic sale at the Gust Appelgren place north of town attracted what locals estimated as well over 500 people. The herd of milk cattle sold well with several animals fetching over 100 dollars each, though the older cows did not. Skidoo Hits Car at Crossing West of W. P.
A near fatal grade crossing crash west of town occurred Tuesday afternoon when an eastbound skidoo struck a car driven by John Funk of Lustre. Funk and his wife and Mr. Dick, traveling from the west to Wolf Point, escaped serious injury after Funk angled the car to run parallel to the track. The compromised car suffered a crushed fender and bent axle, but the occupants credit the quick turn with saving their lives and note the incident underscores the need for an underground viaduct to prevent such crashes.

Mrs. Forbes attended the state convention of the Royal Neighbors at Great Falls as a district delegate. Over 200 delegates and visitors were present with nine degree teams competing. Shelby took first place, Lewistown second, and Mary Dignan of Glasgow and Finnie M Brandy of Miles City were elected delegates to the Supreme Camp in Minneapolis in May. Marechal Ferdinand Foch famed generalissime who led Allied forces in World War I died today at his Paris home aged 77 after a long illness. Persistent heart, kidney, and lung troubles culminated in a fatal heart collapse despite days of cautious improvement. Visitors were not admitted, and Pershing paid respects to Madame Foch without meeting the former commander.

Jacobson Baby Dies In Georgia Area
The two year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Melvin Jacobson of Waska country died Sunday after a five day illness. Double pneumonia and complications caused the death. Funeral services were held from the First Lutheran church on Tuesday afternoon with many friends in attendance to extend sympathy to the bereaved family.

In Roosevelt County, Paul Paulson of Grenora North Dakota sued Charles K. Taylor, editor of the Producers News at Plentywood, for 1912.97 dollars in wages from October 1922 to October 1924.
