Circle Killer Gets 25 Years In Murder Case
Jane and Henry Gilbertson, a 20 year old son, were in court as Gilbertson received a 25 year sentence from District Judge Frank P. Lieper for second degree murder in the killing of Nick Shahary, a McCone county farmer. Gilbertson confessed, recounting an afternoon of beer, a dispute over a machine, and the fatal shooting with a .22 rifle after Shahary struck him. The truck theft and wreck on the road followed the event.

Army Plane Fleet Seen At Glasgow Field
Glasgow hosted an army aviation spectacle when nineteen planes landed at the city air field around 11 a.m. last Saturday. After fueling with about 1200 gallons, pilots and crew were hosted by the Commercial club, then took off at 1:30 p.m. for Great Falls in groups of three, drawing a large crowd and hundreds of cars. The pilots wore parachutes, used as cushions, during the flight.

Mrs Caroline Liistad was picked up by Chief Todd Shamsey on advice of Sheriff Ben Olson after being accused of kidnapping her two daughters from Opheim. The couple were divorced. the children given to the father Linestad who lived in Opheim. A traveling man allegedly aided the plan and drove with Lunstead to Wolf Point before Olson intervened and the girls were returned to their father. Lunstead is jailed with a $200 bond pending a Justice court hearing on the 18th.

Catholic Vacation School In Progress At Wolf Point
One hundred thirty five children enrolled June 2 in the Catholic vacation school supervised by two Franciscan Sisters of Our Lady of Lourdes convent Rochester Minnesota Sister Borgia and Sister Marie Theresa assisted by Mrs Bairey and Mrs Kelly. The school fills a need for child religious education and training. Twenty five children will receive their first holy communion on Thursday June 25. The vacation school ends June 26.
