Sentenced to Pen for Murder in Deer Lodge
Chas Seeds pleaded guilty to second degree murder for the April 7 shooting of Pete Proctor at Poplar while intoxicated. Judge Paul sentenced him to 12 to 25 years in Deer Lodge, to begin soon. Tom Simonson of Castle Rock country received a suspended sentence of two to four years and a $100 fine for branding cattle not his own.

Frye Farm Tour Planned for June Visit near Chelsea
A Frye and Company irrigation project near Chelsea opens to the public on June 16.
