Chas Hall living west of town leads the county in wheat cutting with Marquis spring wheat. His first field yielded five bushels per acre after a late burn. Equalization Board Sessions Open In Roosevelt County
Roosevelt county officials have prepared budgets for the next fiscal year and will present them to the board of county commissioners for approval or revision. The board began its equalization meetings Monday and will continue until August 2 to review assessments and hear written, sworn complaints. The second week in August will set the 1929 levy. A tax lien sale by the county measurer is scheduled today at the courthouse, with another real estate sale on August 5 including land in Poplar, McCabe and Culbertson.

Mrs Larson's Mother Dies In Butte Hospital
Mrs Viewig, mother of Mrs Larson, died Tuesday afternoon at 2 o clock in a Butte hospital after a major operation at Bally last week. Her daughter accompanied the body from Butte to Minneapolis where she met Dr and Mrs Larsen. From Minneapolis the remains went to Chicago for burial services this afternoon. Mrs Viente had longtime residence with the Larson family and leaves many friends.
