County primary results show Democrats gain momentum but incumbents win
Roosevelt county voters cast about 2,500 ballots with 33% of precincts reporting. Lowe defeats Moran for sheriff by four to three, Adams secures a wide lead for commissioner, and Ryder, Curran, Trenne, and others win or contend for nominations. Incumbents largely retain positions as registrations and lack of fierce contests shape the outcome. Public party tallies include Erickson and Leavitt race details with looming complete counts to follow.

Joint Meeting Stresses Farm Union Unity in McCone County
McCone County locals of the Farm Union held a sparsely attended meeting in the northwest part of the county on the 17th. Guest speaker Glenn Talbot arrived with his father C Talbot, a veteran farm leader and lobbyist, who urged farmers to organize to compete with other industries. He noted heat affecting Spring wheat, a small Winter crop in the South, and projected a possible domestic basis by January 1, 193%. Talbot Sr. urged strong organization so farmers could fetch at least a dollar per bushel for the 1932 crop. Glenn Talbot followed with a brief talk.
