Herman Mielke 62, formerly a McCone county rancher, died at Deaconess hospital after a brief illness. He had visited Frazer to see his nephew Arthur Mielke, was unmarried, and funeral services were held in Frazer. Brothers O L Mielke Alberta Canada Paul Mielke Seattle and another in Wisconsin survive with sister-in-law Mrs Robert Mielke of Frazer. The family suffered a year earlier when brother Robert drowned crossing at Frazer.

Negro Bartenders Fined Twenty Five Dollars
D. W. Cole a negro bartender at a refreshment stand near the Nell rooming house was arrested on a complaint alleging possession of intoxicating liquor and maintaining a nuisance. He stood before Chas. Gordon in police court on the 15th and received a 25 fine which he paid. Cole claims to have leased the joint.

Fad and Kelly Stores Looted in Burglary at Local Shops
The Fad and Kelly hardware stores were burglarized early Tuesday and over the weekend respectively. Thieves forced entry through a back basement door at The Fad, stole high end merchandise including suits shirts and silk underwear, damaged the cash register, and left about $200 in merchandise missing. At Kelly's, a separate break in through a coal hole occurred between Saturday night and Monday morning, with items taken including a Remington rifle a bicycle tire a watch knives and pennies from the till.

Aged Folks Enjoy Airplane Thrills at Local Flight
Three senior passengers total 279 years in age share rides at the airport. Mr and Mrs C E Blatch aged 85 and 87 flew in an Eagle Rock piloted by Frank Wiley of Miles City and enjoyed the experience. Mrs Blatch has now tried every major transport mode except air travel. Jim Cook then took his grandmother Mrs W H Landes aged 77 for a ride in a Travel Air and she urged a return flight.

Helena Sheriff Seeks Renz in White Eagle Death
Sheriff Burgess of Helena and David Renz arrived in town to question Renz over the death of Jerome White Eagle of Poplar. White Eagle reportedly died after falling from a rooming house window in Helena, with Renz in his room shortly before the incident.
