Married Folks Shindig Recalls Old Time Days

A small Fourth Street building hosted a Married Folks Shindig with an old fashioned barn dance vibe. Dances included waltzes and square dances led by G. J. Robbin. music by H. Van Waggoner and Spencer. About 25 couples attended and hope for another soon.

Pleasant View Farm Loan Assn Holds Strong Annual Meeting

The Pleasant View National Farm Loan association held its fourth annual meeting on Tuesday January 10 at the Pleasant View school house. Directors John G. Olson O B Horsford and W S Good were re elected for one year and new directors John Lillethan and Wilbur White joined. O G Horsford became president, John C Olson became vice president and W S Good remained secretary treasurer. The board is optimistic about the next season amid steady grain prices and growing member cooperation.

Claims Paid in Full for Dan McAllen Estate

Arlie M. Foor, administrator of the Dan McAllen estate, secured district court approval in Plentywood to pay all creditor claims totaling 52,026. Every claim filed was paid in full, a record praised by the Jobbers Credit Association as the first estate in the Northwest to settle at 100 cents on the dollar.

Mid Year Roundup In The Schools

Mid year exams approach as seventh and eighth graders face state tests February 2 and 3 while top scholars like Julia Welzenbach and Sylvester Smith post 90 averages. Operations returned to all Ford Motor company departments in Detroit after a nearly month long inventory and repair shutdown. Under a rotating employment plan, about 40,000 men are kept on the payroll with 82,000 working at one time.

Miles City Jan 10 Discovered cutting out a calf near Maudlin and chased an all gray wolf that had terrorized the north side for years. Bad and Sol Nichol reported finishing the animal after a twenty mile chase in a unique wolf killing tale in the northwest.

Washington reports Prohibition Commissioner Haynes released a statement on the eve of the 2nd anniversary of the national prohibition act. He lists twelve key points arguing the 18th Amendment is effectively enforced and already changing public behavior with declines in drunkenness and liquor imports.

Equity Directors and Officers Meet at Equity Elevator

The Equity Co-Operative association officers and directors met at the Equity elevator on Wednesday. Attendees included W. S. Good as president and directors F. H. Ahrens Harry Stebbins A. Huber W.
