J K Bramble Dies of Stroke at Wolf Point Home
J K Bramble well known attorney of Wolf Point and Havre died at his Edgar Street home at 11 30 a m Wednesday January 6 from a paralytic stroke suffered two weeks earlier He lived alone George Trude found him after the stroke his former wife Valerie Bramble from Parshall arrived to assist a brother W L Bramble from Helena attended the funeral which was held Thursday at 2 00 p m at the Catholic church Rev Father Benedict officiated Bramble had recently embraced Catholicism He left a family roster including brothers J M Bramble W L Bramble W P Bramble sisters Mary Dixon Nan Turner a daughter Ida Burial was in the local Catholic cemetery He was born February 3 1867 near Oak Hill Meigs county Ohio and died just shy of 65 He practiced law in several cities moving to Havre in 1904 then Wolf Point in 1924 later returning to Havre briefly and back to Wolf Point His career included owning the Hill County Democrat and a mercantile business He was a Democrat with Havre Lodge 1201 B P O E as a fraternal connection An extended life sketch appears in Tom Stout’s Montana history.

Captain Coll Heads to Decorah for Old People's Home
Captain Coll longtime Wolf Point figure with Rev Tollefson will depart Sunday night for Minneapolis then Decorah where he will enter a home for old people. A sea captain in youth he entertained with ocean yarns in his own language. Eye trouble ended his sailing career over 20 years ago and he later came to America. He is known for a cheerful smile and courteous greet, and friends welcome his move to comfort in his final years.

Old Timer in Town Keeps Golden Wedding in Oswego Area
W H Thornley and wife celebrated their golden wedding Christmas day at their home southwest of Oswego. They settled near Cow Creek Hamblin in 1914 as squatters before surveys.
