Poplar Appeals to Supreme Court in County Seat Case

Dana M Easton Former Montana Supreme Court Clerk Dead

Dana M Easton former clerk of the Montana Supreme Court was found dead in a Helena club room last Friday due to heart failure. Born 1884 in Warren Minnesota he trained as a lawyer after attending Minnesota University. He served in Company K 2nd Montana Infantry enlisting in 1917 sustaining many wounds and losing a leg. His body was expected to be sent to Warren Minnesota for burial.

Local Theatre Man Attends Montana Convention

J. Severson returned from the Montana Theatre Owners' association annual convention in Butte. About 60 exhibitors attended a meeting where industry matters were discussed and upcoming major pictures were previewed. A banquet at the Finland hotel capped the event as a highlight.

Local Farmer Among Tillage Prize Winners

John J. Stensland of the Northeast country is named among Montana tilage prize winners for the summer tillage contest. He produced 30 bushels per acre on 65 acres of summer fallowed land as part of a state program by the Montana Development Association.
