In Auburn New York 1700 inmates staged a full day mutiny against guards and leaders shifting control to armed militiamen. First To Drive Across River South Of Town
Rey and Ed Bell, R. B. Spencer and Earl Meade crossed the river in a car last Saturday forenoon, the first time going directly across. The ice measured three inches thick at that time. This week crossings have shown no difficulty.
Court Session Busy With Divorces At Deer Lodge
Three divorces were granted and one taken under advisement at the Deer Lodge district court session presided by Judge St. Paul. Nora L. Pioneer Lady Annie Roberts Dies at Oswego
Funeral services for Annie Larpenteur Roberts were held at St Ann's Catholic church Oswego on Saturday morning December 7. Rev Father Benedict presided with the Wolf Point choir singing. Burial followed in Oswego Catholic Cemetery. Annie was born August 20 1870 at Fort Union and grew up in Poplar Creek Wolf Point. She attended the old Wolf Point school and was mourned by relatives and friends near and far.
