Poplar Paper Wins County Printing Contract Bid
The county advertised a biennial printing contract with three bidders: The Poplar Standard, The Searchlight Culbertson, and The West Point Herald. The Standard offered the lowest bid and favorable terms including free board proceedings and most legal notices, while The Searchlight and The Herald were deemed out of contention. The contract covers publications, record books, and job printing, with expected annual costs around 3,000 to 4,000 dollars, and a decline next year to about 60 percent of this year’s price.
