Wheat shipments from Wolf Point rise despite poor roads and river conditions. Through December 1 the Great Northern reported 880,651 bushels, corrected later to 858,883 by December 22, with Wolf Point leading Montana primary shipping points. Great Northern totals show nearly 25 million bushels shipped statewide, with about 10 million more to move and a 50 to 70 percent higher year over year outlook.

Girl Falls From Sled Truck Run Over by Vehicle

Plentywood Montana report of 14 year old Ed Reuter driving a heavy truck following a sled behind a car. Jean nette Lundquist a 11 year old student was run over after falling from her sled on a steep hill and suffered severe internal injuries. doctors fear she will not survive as intestines are badly torn. The incident occurred as several children sledded in the country.

Young matron takes own life in Wolf Point

Bernard Markham found and returned a lost purse to J. E. Wamsley of Monarch Lumber Co. The purse contained two sixteen dollar bills and no identification. A young woman staying in Wolf Point on a trip to Great Falls expressed gratitude for its prompt return.

Two Men Arrested On Very Serious Charge

Two young men, Joe B. Rogers and Roy Sansaver, are in the county jail charged with statutory offenses involving the delinquency of a school girl of 16. Rogers pleaded guilty and Sansaver pleaded not guilty at arraignment. The girl’s home lies south of the river and she has been taken there. Her story, told to the county attorney, involves other young men and more arrests are expected. The accused are not schoolboys.

Red Bolster Enters Restaurant Business

Albert Bolster known as Red has bought restaurant equipment from Mrs. Hanson at the White Cafe on Third Street and from A. W. Blank in the Hugo Johnson building. He takes over the Blank restaurant and is now open. Both Bolster and his wife are experienced caterers seeking public patronage. Hard Spring wheat markets at $1.04 on Thursday.
