Winthrop Woman's Club Opens Year With Program

The Winthrop Woman's Club begins its new year on Friday October 6 with a reception for the new Board of Directors featuring music by the Medholdt Trio and refreshments. The afternoon will include readings of reports from biennial delegates presenting federation questions and issues for discussion. Highland Yacht Club Ladies Auxiliary held a two day bazaar last weekend that drew large crowds and clear just over five hundred dollars. Attendees enjoyed a pond fish game for kids and a tea room with a Japanese Garden theme. Notable winners included G Wallace Tibbetts and Frank Bell, with Morley Scott and Lee Foskett among Saturday’s luckiest shoppers.
