Woman Fights Off Vicious Bull Dog In Home Invasion
Mrs. Hughes of Pleasant Street trapped a vicious bull dog at her door for 15 minutes before it collapsed. She suffered a minor hand wound and was praised for bravery. Earlier, Francis Bradford was bitten on the leg by a dog from a Bowdoin Street family while returning from school.

Hold up near Winthrop halts ex-soldier on Fort Banks route
Neva Haralson, three years enlistment expired at Fort Banks, reports he was robbed of six dollars by two unknown men after leaving a store near Winthrop Centre. He says a man blocked him with a revolver in front of St John the Evangelist Church and another seized his money before fleeing toward Ocean Spray marsh. He cannot describe the robbers but would recognize them.

Cemetery Tower Addition Nears Completion
Work on the cemetery tower addition was completed last week except for a new iron fence. Land purchased by town meeting on December 24, 1905 cost 3070.02 dollars, with 2000 dollars approved for a three trustee board. Improvements overseen by superintendent Charles R. Bennison under authority of trustees George R. W. Battis Thomas H. Cross and Nelson Floyd.
