Winthrop Woman's Club Guest Day features home talent play

The Winthrop Woman's Club held its annual Guest Day at the Winthrop Theatre drawing over 800 attendees with 45 clubs represented. The Shakespearian play Much Ado About Nothing was performed by club members with Elizabeth Floyd leading the art and literature committee and Miss Scheerer receiving honors alongside Beatrice actress Mrs Florence Devine and other cast members. A Whye High School Orchestra provided music and a reception followed with club officers and cast members in the receiving line.
