Body Found Off Point Shirley After Storm
Two walkers along Point Shirley road spotted a man’s body floating in the water near a new wall. Passersby retrieved the body before Officer Duglas arrived. The deceased, about 5 feet 6 inches, wore a blue sweater with possible company initials washed away. He had hip rubber boots and is suspected to be a crew member of the schooner Davis Palmer wrecked off Graves Lights during the December storm.
