Major Henry O. Hight Dies After Short Illness
Major Henry O. Hight of 15 Egleton Park died Sunday noon from heart disease after a brief illness. Born in Saco Maine in 1840, he served in the Civil War, rising to captain before brevet major. He leaves a widow, three sons, and a daughter, with funeral services held at home and burial in Saco.

Death of Capt Alexander L Stubbs of Winthrop
Capt Alexander L Stubbs died after a two week illness at his home 34 Willow Avenue Winthrop. Born 1834 in Bucksport Maine he rose from shipmate to captain on the Penobscot towboat era and later served Boston Tow Boat Co for 30 years earning a gold watch for faithful service. Survived by brother Capt Fred Stubbs four children and four grandchildren. Funeral held Tuesday despite heavy snow with many old shipmates in attendance.

Elaborate Decorations At Cottage Park Yacht Club Dance
The Cottage Park yacht club held an elegant Friday evening party with the hall ceiling draped in green rope and hundreds of purple wistaria clusters. Mrs Go o gins organized the scheme with assistance from other ladies and guests wore coordinating costumes. music by A. supplied a buffet lunch. About 125 people attended and the decorations will remain for spring events.

Funeral Services for Mrs Maria Mc Lean Held at Daughter’s Home
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the home of Mrs J H Eldridge for Mrs Maria McLean widow of Robert McLean born in Halifax Nova Scotia and resident of Winthrop for seven years. She leaves four sons and a daughter with interment in Cambridge cemetery. A relative Miss Alice M Haggerty sang Face to Face. Mrs McLean loved flowers and cared for her children. Also notes Mrs John Cotter of Young’s Hotel visiting her father in South Framingham.
