Indignation Meeting Demands Restore All Night Train Service
Winthrop residents packed the Town Hall in protest at the revised BBRR all night schedule. Leaders urged negotiations with railroad officials and commissioners while a committee of five was formed to press for restoration or electric service. The railroad cited losses and rising costs, proposing three night trains and temporary half hourly daytime adjustments, with further talks planned.
