Ted Nichols Died at Veterans Hospital in Big Spring
Ted Nichols 64 of Odessa and former Runnels County resident died Sunday morning at the Veterans Hospital in Big Spring after illness since year start. Born October 16 1895 in Cameron he lived in Ballinger Merkel Fort Worth Odessa and Mexia and served in World War I with the 144th Infantry. Funeral services were held Monday at Spill Memorial Chapel with burial at Old Runnels Cemetery. He is survived by his wife three sisters and three brothers.

Mrs. Tracy Watson, formerly of Winters, stopped Friday in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Press Edwards and relatives on her way to Houston. She had been in Lubbock to enroll her daughter Lou Ann as a Texas Tech freshman and to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Edwards.

Funeral services for Mrs William S Baxter 74 longtime Runnels county resident were held Saturday at 2 pm in Spill Memorial Chapel with the Rev Clyde Jackson of Abilene officiating. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery. She died Thursday evening at 845 in Winters Municipal Hospital after a long illness. Born November 11 1885 Center Hill Arkansas she married William Baxter October 1 1905 Center Hill and moved to Commerce Texas in 1914 then to Runnels county in 1924 and later Winters. Survived by her husband three sons Jerrel Fort Worth Doyle Dallas Herschel Monroe Louisiana four daughters Mrs Jesse Horn Plainview Mrs Dick Seaborn Friant California Mrs Mack Bullard Winters Mrs Marvin Seals Winters two sisters Mrs Nora Christy Mrs Stella Hall both of Searcy Arkansas one brother Ed Mullins Searcy Arkansas 23 grandchildren 18 great grandchildren Pallbearers listed as Bede England
