Funeral Rites For Burton H. Pritchard Held Saturday

Funeral services for Burton H. Pritchard 71 retired teacher and farmer at Shep were held Saturday afternoon in Spill Memorial Chapel with Rev Ted Bigham officiating Burial was in Wingate Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites Pall bearers were Masonic Lodge members of Wingate Survivors include Bertha Pritchard six sons and three daughters plus siblings and grandchildren.

Drasco Home Demonstration Club Holds Hill Home Meeting

The Drasco Home Demonstration Club met Thursday October 22 at Mrs. O. C. Hill’s home to discuss Family Celebrations of Special Days. Six members and visitor Paula Nell Abbott attended with pie and drinks served. The next meeting will be at Mrs. J. R. Woodfin’s home. An employee with no experience may perform better than one with too much.

Bundle Bonus Bucks on Appliances Offer

The program starts November 1, 1959 and ends January 15, 1960. For each appliance bought, the Cooperative will grant 100 KWH per month for four months. Members must purchase the power to operate the appliance from Coleman County Electric Cooperative.

Linda Frazier Presents Beauty Short-Cuts At Sub Deb Club

Linda Frazier gave a program titled Beauty Short-Cuts at the Sub Deb Club meeting held Monday evening at the Jim Smith home with Carol Ann as hostess. Nancy Roberts presided. Toni Johnson led roll. Members will buy booties and a mum for Ballinger football and Christmas cards are due by November 9. A rummage sale is planned for Saturday. Fragments list attendees including Frances Saunders, Ernestine Scott, Linda Frazier, Toni Johnson, and others. The next meeting will be at 5 30 p m in the home of Mr and Mrs Robert Gans.

Henry C. Bryan, Former Resident, Dies en Route to Big Spring

Henry Clay Bryan, 64, recently moved from Winters to Big Spring, collapsed unloading household items and died at 3 15 p m Friday while en route to a hospital. Born May 17 1895 in Megargle he was a retired blacksmith. Funeral services were held Saturday at Nalley-Pickle Funeral Chapel with burial in Big Spring City Cemetery. Surviving are son Otis Bryan daughter Agnes Angeline Bryan and three sisters.

Home Builders Sunday School Class Meeting Recap

The Home Builders Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church met at Mrs. Ludie Davis home for its monthly business and social session. Led by Mrs. Laura Lindley, with prayer by Mrs. Florence Branham, the group shared scripture quotes, devotional, poem, treasurer’s report, minutes, and prayers. A plate lunch and beverages were served to attendees including several named members.
