In Austin on Oct 27 former Governor James E Ferguson and the governor avoided comment after a conference with House Speaker Lee Satterwhite. Satterwhite admitted an open break and said he would not seek a special session unless Moody's highway probe results justified it. Ferguson pressed loyalty, saying non support equaled opposition. Satterwhite later met with Attorney General Moody to review details.
Doug Motley secretary of the Chamber of Commerce at Ballinger and Mr Woods district farm demonstration agent of College Station visited last Saturday afternoon. Motley said on his next visit he would walk or ride the motor due to difficulty finding a parking space for his car.
