Winters State Bank Consolidates With Bank of Bradshaw
In December 1942 the Bank of Bradshaw merged into Winters State Bank after years as one of South Taylor County’s oldest institutions. Deposits rose to about 1.9 million with the transfer of roughly 115 thousand dollars from Bradshaw. The consolidation cites wartime conditions as a factor and notes Winters State Bank’s long history dating to its founder John Q. Mc Adams.
