Ballinger and the county production center received 47 blouses and seven quilts from the Red Cross. All women were urged to help in the surgical dressings department. Twenty reservists were to depart for the induction center, mostly from Winters aged 18 and 19. Plans were made to form two 1943 Boy Scout Troops with scout masters to be named.
