Mrs. Claud Eubank of Norton Dies at 64
Mrs. Claud BD. Eubank 64 died at 3 a m Sunday at her Norton area home after a long illness. Born Vernon Bryan March 14 1904 in Hill County she moved to Runnels County in 1917 and lived in Norton fifty years. She married Claud Eubank January 4 1927 at Wingate and was a member of Norton Church of Christ. Funeral 3 p m Monday at Old Norton Church of Christ with Hollis Swafford officiating. Burial Wilmeth Cemetery Spill Funeral Home in charge. Former Winters Area Resident Dies in Merkel at 90
Walter Mott Torrence, 90, a former Winters area resident, died at Star Nursing Home in Merkel on Wednesday May 1. Funeral service was at Spill Memorial Chapel in Winters with Rev. Kenneth Jones officiating, burial in Fairview Cemetery. He was born June 28, 1877 in North Carolina, moved to Texas in 1901, married Cyrena Hopkins in 1903, lived on farms near Winters and Tuscola, retired in 1944, moved to Merkel in 1960 near his son James P. Torrence. Survivors include one son, three grandchildren, two great grandkids. three children preceded him in death. Pallbearers listed.
