J. E. Talley 92 Dies. Rites Pending in Winters, Texas
Joseph Edgar Talley died after a heart attack Thursday night while dining in Ballinger. Funeral services were held Saturday in Spill Memorial Chapel, Winters, with burial in Northview Cemetery. He lived eight miles southeast of Winters, engaged in farming, stock raising, and various businesses across multiple Texas towns. Born August 15, 1880 in Bastrop, he taught school in Elgin and Page, worked in Ballinger, San Antonio, and Dallas before returning to Winters.
