The band traveled by wagon to Ballinger the nearest railroad and then by train with trips including Brownwood San Angelo Coleman and Big Spring. The longest trips lasted three days and the Brown County prohibition drive remains vivid as local rival bands paraded for three days. John Curry recalled the pro and anti factions hiring bands and crowds marching around the courthouse with kerosene torches leading to a pro victory.
