Thunderbirds to headline Seventh Annual Dress Open House at Dyess

Dyess air show on June 17 features the U S Air Force Thunderbirds aerial demonstration. Gates open at 10 30 a m for public access to the flight line to view aircraft and speak with crews. A patrol dog team, 502nd Air Force Band, and wing demonstrations with B 52 KC 135 C 130 and Caribou are on the program. The Thunderbird narrator inspects the aircraft at 3 p m before the jets take off for loops rolls bomb burst and crossover. Refreshment stands and displays will accompany the day of aviation excitement.

Social Security tightens disability work-credit rules in 1972

J M Talbot announces that people born before 1930 who become disabled in 1972 must meet two work requirements 20 quarters in the 40 quarter period plus one extra quarter to be fully insured. Walleye And Striped Bass Doing Well In Texas Waters

Texas Parks and Wildlife biologists report walleye and striped bass thriving in state waters. About 5,000 walleye fingerlings and one million fry were placed in the San Angelo Reservoir, with rapid growth observed. Striped bass in Spence Reservoir show growth above expectations, signaling potential brood-stock prospects.
