Walleye shipment planned for Lake Meredith Texas
Texas Parks and Wildlife plans a weekend transshipment of 2 000 000 walleye fry from Spirits Lake Iowa to Lake Meredith Canadian River impoundment to boost stocking after last year’s 500 000 fry delivery. Leo Lewis says eyed fry thrive with some fingerlings near one foot. A protective catch rule at Meredith remains in force until stockings establish.
