Livestock Trade Open Strong at Fort Worth Market
Live cattle yard sales opened the week with strong demand. Fed steers and yearlings held firm to higher, with Wynnewood Oklahoma steers around 1010 pounds fetching $24 and McClung Land & Cattle Co. heifers tops at $23. Fat calves and stockers rose, cows and bulls showed gains, while price ranges covered slaughter steers, yearlings, fat cows, canners, and bulls.

WSCS Met at First Methodist Church for Annual Session
The Woman's Society of Christian Service met Tuesday morning in the parlor of First Methodist Church for a regular business session. Mrs. Frank Mitchell presided, openings led by Mrs. Louisa Johnson, and committee chairs elected for program, finance, membership, publicity, and more. Eighteen members attended. Also notes on class of 1951 reunion plans for Winters High School graduates and a Be Busy Sewing Club meeting at Mrs. Bud Parks home.
