Former Resident Burial Rites At Ballinger Friday
Henry Grady Jones 71 longtime Jones Motor Company president died Friday morning at 8 45 in Lubbock Methodist Hospital from complications after surgery for a cerebral hemorrhage following a fall on his Big Spring driveway. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. in Big Spring Nalley-Pickle Chapel with Rev. R Gage Lloyd officiating. Graveside rites followed at 5 p m in Ballinger City Cemetery. Born Rome Georgia June 16 1899 he moved to Texas as a boy living in Grandview before settling in Ballinger in 1904. He married Bessye Northington in Ballinger on October 28 1914 and entered the automobile business in 1915.

Local businessman dies after 47 years in auto trade
