Grandson of Local Resident Married In Gruver Bride
Miss Rita Henderson daughter of Mr and Mrs Alfred Henderson of Gruver wed Jerry Williams son of Mr and Mrs E A Williams also of Gruver in a Friday June 9 candlelight ceremony at First Baptist Church Springfield. Rev Alley read the service with a white satin kneeling bench and yellow gladioli decor. The bride wore Chantilly lace over nylon tulle with a chapel train and a pearl necklace. She carried a white orchid bouquet and wore family and heirloom pieces for the old and borrowed rites. Attendants wore yellow frock s and shell hats. A reception followed in Fellowship Hall. The couple are Grover High School graduates class of 1961 and plan to enroll in college in the fall.

Coleman Rodeo Dates Set for July 12 15
Coleman hosts its 24th RCA professional rodeo from July 12 to 15 with night performances at 8 p.m. daily and 5 p.m. parades. Don Allen and the Sunset Ramblers provide postrodeo dance music in the National Guard Armory. Buetler and Son of Elk City supply livestock for events including bareback bronc steer wrestling saddle bronc calf roping bull riding plus nightly matched calf roping between Buddy Groff and George Epperson. A cowgirl barrel race is also featured.
