Dr James T Boone 99 Dies In Abilene Nursing Home
Dr James T Boone aged 99 longtime Cass and Runnels County physician died Monday afternoon at Sunny Dale Nursing Home Abilene after being ill since March 1958. Born December 16 1859 in Alabama he practiced medicine in Cass County McLennan Wintger Winters and received a 50 year medical citation in 1942. He retired in 1947 and was a member of the First Church.

Funeral services for Dr. Boone were held Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Winters with Rev. B. T. Shoemake officiating. Masons conducted graveside rites. burial followed at Northview Cemetery. Survivors include four sons Lotus Abilene Clyde Fort Worth and Claude Fort Worth. two daughters Leon Hallman and Vera Wallace. nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
