Samaritan Good or Foolish in Law and Risky Rescue
A farmer saves a car driver from a rollover and sues for damages, arguing the driver’s bad driving caused his injuries. The court finds negligence by the motorist but notes a good samaritan standard. Additional examples include a hotel waiter injured aiding a cook and a woman killed by a train while rescuing a dog, with rulings on liability.
