Shirley Temple, adopted daughter of a missionary couple killed in a rebel raid, travels with Robert Young a carefree heir on a world tour. She stows away on a cruise ship and helps Young meet Alice Faye while Hong Kong scenes unfold. Shirley wins a prize at a Chinese amateur show but Allan Lane reappears to claim his fiancée.
Gary Cooper stars as a soldier of fortune in a Shanghai bound tale of China's resistance to warlords. He fights General Yang while Madeleine Carroll betrays then redeems herself, offering to die for his freedom as Yang dies and guards are doomed to self sacrifice.
A brawny steel maker loves a blonde but is wooed by a widow and a carefree young beauty. He must choose between two women while his hard mood softens in a melodramatic screen romance led by Victor McLaglen with Binnie Barnes and Jean Dixon.
The story follows a dangerous killer transformed on the operating table into a gentle citizen by medical intervention. Ralph and Bella are mentioned in the title role with Thurston as the doctor, suggesting dramatic surgical themes.

The ceremony was held at 2 30 PM in the Lutheran church of Winters with Rev Roth officiating. Miss Lil Gerhart and Charlie Gerhart attended as the couple from the Whit family with the newly married couple to host a dinner at the Whit home. Community friends gathered at the reception and extended congratulations to the Mathers and Whit families.
