Heart of Texas Girl Scout Council Annual Meeting Held in Breckenridge
About 175 delegates, leaders and friends attended the Heart of Texas Girl Scout Council annual meeting in Breckenridge with the theme A Promise in Action. Rev. Richard L. Russell urged girls to uphold their Scout promise fostering patriotism and service. The program featured the Breckenridge Boy's Choir, awards including a Girl Scout statuette to Mrs. Carl H. Whalen Weatherford, and a Weatherford travel plaque. New officers and nominating committee members were elected for two-year terms.
