John T. James Dies at Masonic Home in Arlington
John T. James 80 former Pumphrey resident died Tuesday night at the Masonic Home in Arlington where he had lived four years. Funeral at Spill Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Jones officiating. Masonic graveside rites at Northview Cemetery. He was born Nov. 13, 1889 in Havana Ark. and married Leona Nelms in 1910. Survivors include two sons, three daughters, a brother and two sisters, plus 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He belonged to the Church of God and Masonic Lodge.

The Ladies Aid Circle of St John Lutheran Church held a regular meeting in the church fellowship center on Thursday. New officers were drawn for Sunshine Sisters. a Christmas social featured readings by Mrs Walter Gerhart Mrs Ellis Ueckert and Mrs Herman Frick.
