Reunion fills gym as homecoming slated for August 1975
A large crowd attended the school reunion in the gym with Alvin Berry giving the table prayer. Sam Faubion was elected president for the upcoming homecoming on the second Sunday in August 1975, with Mrs. Faubion as secretary and Mrs. McBeth outgoing secretary. Hazel Dietz is vice president and Marion Wood registered guests. The longest distance traveler was Mr. and Mrs. Edmond Dial from Ridgecrest California, while Mrs. E W Rainwater was the oldest present. Winters Cub Scouts joined their peers at Camp Tonkawa near Buffalo Gap for a day camp. Winters participants included Tommy Davis Clay O'Dell Clay Bailey Ralph Austin Jimmy Hall Mike Wetzel Jerry Don Vinson Todd Terrell Scott Billups Mark Rogers and Doug Williams. Jerry Don Vinson led a group. Todd Terrell and Scott Billups earned archery and diving honors with multiple ribbons and trophies.
