A long chain of visitors and members attend services at Bradshaw and Drasco Baptist churches. Special youth program Just A Cup Of Water led by Randall Conner with Rhonda Sneed on organ and Leslie Bishop at piano. Families from Tuscola Winters Abilene and Midland visiters and travels noted alongside hospital and birthday events. Many names and households from Moro Drasco Winters and surrounding towns listed with movements and weekend trips.
Mr s Grover Davis thanks neighbors and friends for kindness during illness in hospital and after returning home. She credits doctors and nurses for care and expresses gratitude for cards letters gifts and prayers from the community. Mrs Grover Davis and family join in the thanks.
William Wood McKissack I Jr., 78, a former Winters barber, died Saturday at his Ballinger home. Funeral held Sunday at Allen Davis Funeral Home Chapel Ballinger. burial in Fairview Cemetery Winters. World War I veteran and American Legion member survived by six sisters in Talpa, Fort Worth, and Fort Stockton.
Louis Sneed and his fiancée Kathy Kelly were honored at a reception Saturday evening in the Fellowship Hall of Drasco Baptist Church. Hostesses and guests were greeted by Mrs. J. C. Belew, Mrs. Bede England, and others, with Linda Sneed and Sheila Williams registering attendees. Gifts were displayed by Mrs. Dick Bishop and Mrs. Melvin Williams as numerous local hostesses assisted.
Free offerings include puppet shows flamenco dancers singers clowns and organ grinders with hat tipping monkeys presented as part of the fair activities on site.
Members of the Bethany Sunday School class of the First Baptist Church met at the home of Mr and Mrs Carl Hancock 406 Lamar Street for the monthly meeting. Mrs Bill Millorn presided in the absence of the president Mrs Lewis Blackmon Reports were given by group leaders the treasurer Mrs Joe Irvin and roll call responses repeated Bible verses Mrs Hancock delivered the devotional on The Lords Prayer Refreshments were served to attendees including Mrs Woodrow Watts Mrs Jr Tierce Mrs Skippy Sheppard and little Sandra
