Former Winters Barber Dies in Ballinger at 78

William Wood McKissack I Jr., 78, a former Winters barber, died Saturday at his Ballinger home. Funeral held Sunday at Allen Davis Funeral Home Chapel Ballinger. burial in Fairview Cemetery Winters. World War I veteran and American Legion member survived by six sisters in Talpa, Fort Worth, and Fort Stockton.

Couple Honored at Reception at Drasco Church

Louis Sneed and his fiancée Kathy Kelly were honored at a reception Saturday evening in the Fellowship Hall of Drasco Baptist Church. Hostesses and guests were greeted by Mrs. J. C. Belew, Mrs. Bede England, and others, with Linda Sneed and Sheila Williams registering attendees. Gifts were displayed by Mrs. Dick Bishop and Mrs. Melvin Williams as numerous local hostesses assisted.

Free offerings include puppet shows flamenco dancers singers clowns and organ grinders with hat tipping monkeys presented as part of the fair activities on site.
