Father of Local Residents Died At Weatherford
John Wright 89 of Weatherford died at 12 noon Thursday July 26 in a Weatherford hospital. He was father of Mrs. C. G. Eubanks Winters and Mrs. O. D. Bradford Wingate. Burial 2 pm Saturday in Galbreath Evergreen Cemetery. He was born June 11 1884 in Wayne County Illinois moved to Parker County at 15 and married Blanche Bonnifield Sept. 17 1905. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad, farmed in Greenwood, then ran a cafe and grocery in Weatherford retirement 1940. He helped lay the cornerstone of South Main Street Church of Christ in 1901. His wife died May 1970. Survivors: three daughters, five great grandchildren.
