Mrs Pearl Whigham of Abi lene visited her sister Mrs Dock Rogers. The Wingate Cafe sold to Mr and Mrs Monty England. Edwin Bredemeyer of Sweetwater died this week and was a nephew of Mrs Emily Voss. Families from Winters Drasco Stanton and Abilene visited and people shared meals and therapy plans. A Church of Christ meeting begins April 28 with time changes April 30. Tot McCown will preach. all are invited.
The Dale Sewing Club met at the home of Mrs. Herbert Jacob. A quilt was made for the hostess. Members present included Mesdames Carroll Stoecker, Herman Spill, Verge Fisher, Reese Jones, Bill Mayo, Walter Kruse, Jack Whittenberg, Quincy Traylor, Charlie Adams, Ralph McWilliams, J. W. Rogers, Clifford Lehman, Raymond Knight, Carl Baldwin, and Herbert Jacob. The next meeting will be at Mrs. Verge Fisher’s home.

Funeral services for John Lloyd Ellis 17 of Winters were held at 2 p m Monday at Lamar Street Baptist Church Sweetwater. He died Friday at Hendrick Memorial Hospital from injuries in a one car Merkel crash. Ellis a Vietnam veteran was born Sept 29 1955 in Sweetwater. Survivors include his parents a brother Paul and grandparents.
Mrs. Clifton Davis hosted the Dorcas SS Class monthly meeting at the First Baptist Church with Mrs. W. W. King assisting. Mrs. A. D. Smith presided, devotion by Mrs. R. D. Collins, prayer by Mrs. C. T. Hart, and a Bible contest led by Mrs. Smith. Members present include Cortez Robinson, Ruby Hollingshead, Stella White, Ruby Baker, Ella Phipps, Jewel Gardner, Artie Smith, Merle Bains, Ida Maude Davis, Gladys King, Lillian Roberson, Velma Hart, Alice Traylor, Orbie Harrison, Edna McMillian, Nadeen Smith, Lois Collins, Lora Coupland, Lettie Davis.
Esther Circle of the First United Methodist Church met Tuesday morning at Mrs. A. M. Nelson’s home with Mrs. Clarence Hambright presiding. Miss Margarite Mathis led the opening prayer and Mrs. T. C. Stanley presented the program What Is Faith followed by scripture readings and discussion. Present were Mesdames W. T. Stanley A. J. Hood F. R. Anderson Carl Baldwin Paul Gerhardt and E. W. Bridwell.
The Ruth Circle WSCS met Tuesday morning at Mrs. D A Dobbins home with Mrs Gattis Neely presiding. Mrs H O Abbott led the opening prayer and Mrs M L Dobbins presented the program Who's Listening with participants Mrs Bob Sanders and Mrs W T Nichols.

A three tier cake trimmed with blue roses featured a blue 77 arch. Grandchildren and great grandchildren contributed to the celebration.
