Mrs Nadine Smith welcomed Be Busy Sewing Club members to her home Monday for hand work and a brief business session. Mrs. W. D. Overman Dies in Bronte Hospital
Mrs. Lula Mae Kornegay Overman 79 died at Bronte Hospital Tuesday morning after a three week hospitalization. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 in Wilmeth Baptist Church with Rev. Lester Carter and Rev. Virgil James officiating. Burial followed in Wilmeth Cemetery. Survivors include two sons D. W. Overman and Claude Overman, a daughter Mrs. A. C. Dyess, 21 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, and a brother Herman Kornegay.

Goal Digger Club Homecoming Tea Details
The Goal Digger Club held a Homecoming Tea Saturday afternoon at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall from 4 to 6. Green and white decor highlighted the room with a white linen tea table, Easter Lily centerpiece, and frosted lime punch served alongside green and white iced cookies. Club officers Barbara Baldwin Leonia Daniel Doris Rice Carolyn Helm and Lynn Mitchell greeted guests while soft music played. Kathryn Clark served as club reporter.
