Natural Gas Reserves Seen Sufficient For 100 Years
The American Gas Association cites Geological Survey Circular 522 of 1965, estimating 4 000 trillion cubic feet of natural gas in place in the United States with about 2 000 Tcf economically recoverable. The figures, conservative and subject to upward revision, suggest reserves could meet demand for more than a century. The industry expects a near record reserve rise in its upcoming annual report.
