Negro Congressman Repeats Benefit Musicale Plan for Scions
Washington June 20 AP Rep Del Priest the Negro Republican from Hingis plans to repeat in February the benefit musicale and reception he headed last night in the Washington mastor ium. Invitations went to all except two Republican members as most left for summer recess. About 3 000 attended with a dozen white guests including Rep Yates. Priest said the event would be repeated next February while others are away. He noted his wife attended a White House tea and said no social equality issue was involved. James Weldon Johnson called the event dignified and statesmanlike amid criticism of recent coverage.

Sheep Industry Outlook in Arizona Not Rosy
H. D. Embach, secretary of the Arizona Wool Growers, reports a tough outlook for Arizona sheep farmers. A severe winter caused heavy mortality and reduced wool prices by six to eight cents per pound from last year, squeezing profits. Lamb prices also declined in recent weeks, with mills in the East slow to lift prices, and the tariff increase failing to offset market slumps.
