Arizona budget forecast tops 6.3 million dollars

Arizona state budget for the 1931 fiscal year is expected to exceed 6.3 million dollars as general appropriations are tabulated by the state auditor. The report shows 3,119,332.04 dollars needed for state departments excluding the University, Public Instruction, and highway systems. Special appropriations are placed at 75,000 dollars, with officials predicting the total may rise above 6.7 million including taxes.

William S. Brock and Edward F. Schlee completed a coast to coast round trip in 16 hours 50 minutes after refueling in Louisiana.
